This is a painting of an old tree on the creek bank of Saratoga Creek at Saratoga Springs Camp Ground in the Santa Cruz Coastal Mountains, near Saratoga, CA. This resort is the Bay area's oldest continually operating picnic and camping facility. Family owned and operated since the late 1800's and now by the fifth generation of the Giannini family. I painted this while camping and living within the resort RV Park durning the summer of 2005
