How to Commission Art

How To Commission Art Work

The creation of an original piece of fine artwork is a personal and interactive process. It is important for you to understand the process and for me to understand what you are looking for. Though there is a process, there are no hard and fast rules. The free flow of ideas, facts and feelings are essential to the completion of a commission.

Initial Contact

One of the best ways to get to know my artwork and me is through this website. Take some time to look at my Artwork- Gallery. Get an idea of my style. What you see here represents what I have done, but it is not the extent of my work nor my artistic range. Each commission is unique. Any Commissioned Art can be custom designed to fit your personal desires. You'll find I am very flexible. I enjoy a challenge. If my artwork is something that you are interested in, contact me and we can discuss the details. To contact me pick the Contact tab above. I will also give you an idea of my current work schedule.

Procedure to Commission Artwork

  1. Contact me.....     the.artist.tony@gmail. com

  • Tell me what you want - and ask as many questions as you wish.

  • Send photographs, ideals, concepts or theme and style of planned artwork. Also include information pertaining to size (dimensions, length and width) what type of painting and on what type of surface, canvas, linen, wood panel or pastel paper.

You can use either traditional photos or digital photos. I can work from a single "pretty bad" photo . . . . Particularly in the case of a portrait of a departed loved one, I can work from just about any photo, or combination, multiple photos. If you have a favorite photo, I'm sure I can create a beautiful portrait for you.

If you choose to mail photographs and information Make sure you include your name, address and phone number with the photos.

*Giclée (zhe-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable quality that Giclée printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original artwork. The result is wide acceptance of high quality Giclées by galleries, museums, and private collectors.
